Submit to MORIA: A Literary Magazine Rooted in Tradition
MORIA, a national literary magazine with an all-student editorial board, calls for submissions of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Based at Woodbury University, nestled in the hills just north of downtown Los Angeles, the magazine is run by undergraduates enrolled in a campus course dedicated to producing an online literary journal. Writers from across the United States and around the globe, both emerging and established, are encouraged to submit their work. The magazine is published twice a year, in late spring and late fall, offering fresh and diverse voices in each issue.
Topics as diverse as media representation, gaming, anime, TikTok trends, and self-reflection. We’re thinking about Earl Grey boba recipes, artificial intelligence, shifting realities, Euphoria season 3, gallows humor, and how grandma’s cooking will always reign supreme. From serious themes like National Security, Communism, and the situation in Ukraine, to the joyful absurdities of videos of cats chirping at birds, Pokémon, and Roblox, MORIA captures the multifaceted dimensions of today’s world.
