Designer Nasozi Kakembo of xNstudio Brings "The African Edit" to the Line Hotel in LA

Nasozi Kakembo, founder of the multi-disciplinary design firm xNstudio, recently stopped in Los Angeles at the Line Hotel to introduce her debut book, The African Edit. Moderated by Dayna Isom Johnson of Etsy, the discussion provided an intimate look into Kakembo’s journey and creative process. Established in 2011, xNstudio operates out of both Brooklyn and Kampala, bridging design practices across continents. Through collaborations with artisans, Kakembo’s firm strengthens creative networks within Africa, connecting independent talents from Uganda, Ghana, Morocco, and beyond.

Her new book, The African Edit, celebrates this vibrant community of makers, exploring the intersections of tradition, innovation, and cultural identity in contemporary African design
